December to March is considered the best time to climb Kilimanjaro as during this time the season remains dry. If you like to see snow on the summit, then January is the best season. Overall, Mount Kilimanjaro is good to climb throughout the year.

Does climbing Kilimanjaro involve any technicalities?

The climb up to the challenging trails of Kilimanjaro is not a technical thing. You don’t need any mountaineering equipment to reach the summit. Any individual having good fitness can reach to the top. But it’s recommended consulting a doctor before planning a hike.

What is the success rate of the Kilimanjaro Climbing routes?

Lemosho Route – 85%

Marangu Route – 80%

Rongai Route – 80%

Machame -85%

Umbwe Route-70%

Northern Circuit Route- 95%

How long does it take to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro?

The time varies according to the route you choose. Most trekkers take 4 to 6 days to reach the summit. The Northern Circuit Route is the longest route and needs the maximum time to summit the peak. The more days you choose, the higher will be the chance to succeed.

Can children climb Kilimanjaro? 

Yes, children can climb Kilimanjaro.

The minimum age decided by the Kilimanjaro National Park to reach the Uhuru Peak is 10 years.

How is the weather on Mount Kilimanjaro?

The weather on Mount Kilimanjaro is strictly unpredictable. Kilimanjaro holds different climatic zones. From equatorial to the arctic, every type of weather can be experienced in Kilimanjaro. 25 to 30 degree Celcius is the average temperature.

Is there any luggage limit for porters on Kilimanjaro Climb?

The porters will carry normally 20 kg of weight. If your luggage is more than that, then you need to hire more porters. Normally we recommend carrying less weight to make the trip hassle-free.

How many porters will accompany you?

Depending on the group size, 4 to 6 porters can be hired. The porters will carry the tent, make food, and entertain you.

How is the food on Kilimanjaro?

A typical food guide on Kilimanjaro includes:

Breakfast:

-Coffee

-Tea

-Fruits

-Fruit juice

-Scrambled eggs/omelet

-Sausage

-Toast

-Margarine

-Honey and jam

Lunch:

-Hot tea

-Coffee
